A sensible first pellet grill. You fill the hopper with hardwood pellets, set a temperature on the Digital Pro controller and the auger and fan hold it there, which is why pellet grills suit people who want to cook rather than tend a fire.

Total cooking space is 572 square inches across two porcelain-coated racks: a 55 by 49 cm lower rack and a 55 by 18 cm upper rack. That is enough for four chickens, five racks of ribs or 24 burgers. It will grill, smoke, braise, roast, bake and barbecue, with a maximum temperature of 232 degrees Celsius. Two food probes are included. The body is steel with a durable powder-coated finish, black with a dark blue lid and door.
